Subscription Update Obituary

     Jean M. Fitzgerald-Sturtze of Worcester passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on Saturday, August 25, 2012 after a long illness.
     Jean was born September 5, 1947 the daughter of the late Paul and Rosemary (Hoover) Machunski in Newton. Jean was the cherished wife of Kenneth Sturtze of Worcester; loving mother of Jackie Callahan, Tracy St. Pierre, Brooke Patterson, stepson, Kevin Boucher-Sturtze and their families all of Worcester. She is also survived by her brother, Paul Machunski of Sutton; her sister, Nancy Gentile of Wilmington; five grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
     Jean was the former proprietor and owner of Greendale’s Pub in Worcester for many years. She loved traveling, lakeside vacations in New Hampshire, gardening, the New England Patriots and spending time with her close friends and loyal dogs.
     The family would like to thank the devoted staff of the Critical Care Unit at St. Vincent Hospital in Worcester.
     Visiting hours for Jean will be Today, Tuesday, August 28 from 5:00 to 8:00 pm at FAY BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 1 W. Boylston St., W. Boylston. A funeral service will be on Wednesday, August 29 at 10:30 am in the funeral home followed by burial in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in her memory may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Association, 60 Walnut St., Wellesley Hills, MA 02481 or to Doctors without Borders, P.O. Box 5030, Hagerstown, MD 21741.
