Janet D. (Groleau) Clarke, 75, of Old Ware Rd., died Wednesday, August 11, 2010 at her home, surrounded by her loving family.

    She leaves one son, Mark A. Clarke of West Brookfield; four daughters: Judy Clarke of West Brookfield, Cynthia Lloyd of Ware, Susan Dill of Barre and Lisa Pensinger of West Brookfield; three brothers: Roland Groleau of SC, Donald Groleau of Oxford and John Groleau of Worcester; two sisters: Gabrielle Sumner of Auburn and Claire Gingell of RI; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and her very good friends: Shirley McIntyre and Leonard Nelson. Her husband of 52 years, Walter Clarke, died in 2006.

    She was born and grew up in Worcester, daughter of the late Roland and Beatrice (Boudreau) Groleau before moving to West Brookfield in 1974.

    Mrs. Clarke worked 15 years for the former William E. Wright Co. in West Warren before retiring in 1983. She was a member of the West Brookfield Senior Center and was a volunteer driver for them for many years and always enjoyed her trips to the Casino in CT.

    A Graveside Service for Janet will be held Wednesday, August 18, 2010 at 1:00 PM in Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton. There are no calling hours.

    In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in her memory may be made to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, 10 Brookline Place West, 6th Floor, Brookline, MA 02445.
