Jane V. (Coomer) Leroux, 67, of Main Street, died peacefully Sunday, January 27, in her home.

Her beloved husband of 46 years, Mr. Robert R. Leroux, died in 2007. She leaves her two daughters, Michele M. Parslow of Hardwick, and Ann Marie Jackson and her husband, Shayne, of Auburn; her five grandchildren, Nicole, Mary Beth and David Parslow along with Kyle and Zachary Jackson; a sister-and brother-in-law Glory Ann and Howard Rothman of Gainesville, FL, as well as several brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.

She was born in Providence, Rhode Island, the daughter of the late Harvey and Cecile (Cloutier) Coomer. She lived in Rhode Island for a short time, before her family moved to Barton, Vermont. She graduated from Barton Academy. She later moved to Massachusetts and married Robert. In 1972, they bought Leroux’s Market, which they operated, and where she worked until her time of death.

She was a member of Our Lady of the Angels Parish in Worcester and a former member of Saint Pius X Parish in Leicester. She was a member of the Leicester Memorial School Council. She enjoyed playing, listening to, and singing music; gardening; traveling; watching sports; caring and sharing with those she loved (especially her husband), and spending time with her adoring grandchildren.

Jane personified grace and dignity. She will fondly be remembered by her family and friends, along with the acquaintances she made during all the years she worked at the store. Bob and Jane shared a special and unique bond that we all admired. She was an amazing mother and “Memere” that will always be loved, cherished, and emulated by her daughters and grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Wednesday from 4-7 PM in the Britton-Wallace Funeral Home, 91 Central St., Auburn. Her funeral will be held on Thursday, January 31st with a Mass celebrated at 10 AM in Our Lady of the Angels Church, 1222 Main St., Worcester. Committal will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Our Lady of the Angels Parish, 1222 Main St., Worcester, MA 01603 or to Saint Joseph’s Abbey, 167 North Spencer Road, Spencer, MA 01562-1233.
