     James R. Mulhern, 74, of Worcester passed away October 16, 2012 surrounded by his loving family after battling cancer. Beloved husband of 53 years to Viola (Lusignan)Mulhern; loving father to his children; Linda LeBlanc and partner James Gardner of East Brookfield, James Mulhern and wife, Kristen of Brookfield, Patricia Shevory and husband, Mark of Paxton and Keith Mulhern and partner Cindy Johnson of Worcester.
     Jim was the ultimate family man and was happiest when spending time with his many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Devoted grandfather to Angeleen, James, Nora and Belle Kelley; Kathleen, Jesse, Jesse James, Liv and Ashton Kady; Timothy, Brandon, Sean, and Keriann LeBlanc; Alyssa, Patrick, Nicholas and Victoria Mulhern; Colin and Nathan Shevory. Dear Brother to Richard Mulhern and Thomas Mulhern both of Worcester. Dear Brother-In-Law to John Lusignan of San Diego; he also is survived by many loving nieces, nephews and close family friends.
     He was born in Worcester the son of Thomas and Jeanette (Phaneuf) Mulhern; graduated from St. Stephen’s High School. He served in the United States Marines Corps and Marine Reserves. He was a dedicated employee at Lusignan Brothers, Berlyn Corp. and most recently New Horizons Technologies. Jim was also an A.S.A. softball umpire for 28 years and was a member of the Greendale Men’s Club. Jim loved sports, camping in Maine and spoiling his wife Viola. He was a great man who truly touched the lives of all those fortunate to have known him.
     His funeral is Monday, October 22nd from O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue with a Mass at 10:00 a.m. in Our Lady of the Angels Church, 1222 Main Street. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park. Calling hours are Sunday, October 21st from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
