Subscription Update Obituary

James M. Bujnowski, 77, of Stuart, FL formerly of Worcester, MA, passed away on Thursday, April 24, 2025. He was predeceased by the love of his life, his wife of fifty-one years, Joyce A. (Sharkus) Bujnowski. He is survived by his son Marc Bujnowski and his wife Gayla of Jupiter, Fl; brothers Francis Bujnowski and his wife Paula of Auburn; John Bujnowski of Framingham. He was predeceased by a sister, Kathleen T. Bonczek and brother Paul K. Bujnowski. He was born in Worcester, the son of Frank and Catherine (Rosseel) Bujnowski. Jim attended Worcester primary and secondary schools and graduated from Assumption University with a BA in Business Administration. He worked for Reed-Rico in Holden for twenty years and was Director of purchasing there. He was a licensed optician working at Magay & Barron Opticians and later Premier Optical retiring in 2013. He proudly served with the US Army during the Vietnam War.

Jim enjoyed playing golf with his brothers, listening to Puccini operas and following Patriots and Red Sox in their annual escapades.

A calling hour will be held on Monday, May 5, 2025, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am in DIRSA-MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 298 Grafton St., Worcester, MA. A graveside service with military honors will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton, MA. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758516, Topeka, Kansas 66675-8516 or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
