James A. Menard, 65, of 270 Grafton St, died Friday July 13 in UMASS Memorial Medical Center, 119 Belmont St.
He leaves four daughters, Martha Menard and Pollyanna Menard both of Canada; Tammy Powers and Maureen Thorin both of Worcester; four brothers, Thomas, George, Robert and Emile Menard and one sister, Lorraine Pardee all of Worcester; five grandsons, three granddaughters and several nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by a brother and a sister, David Menard and Lydia Thorin. He was born in Worcester, a son of George H. and Neva (Cove) Menard and lived here all his life.
Mr. Menard worked as a mover many years for Allied Movers and retired in 1996. He was a member of St. Paul's Cathedral and was an associate member of Main South Post 341 American Legion.
The funeral will be held on Monday July 16 from DIRSA-MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 298 Grafton St, with a Mass at 10:00 am in St. Paul's Cathedral, 15 Chatham St. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. A calling hour in the funeral home will be from 8:30 to 9:30 am Monday July 16.
