Subscription Update Obituary

James A. Chenard, 63, of 17 Hartford Road, died on Friday, December 29, 2006, in Oakham, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

He leaves his wife of 40 years, Marion J. (Erickson) Chenard; his son, James A. Chenard, Jr. and his wife Tammi of Oakham; a brother, Mark R. Chenard and his wife Linda of West Boylston; a granddaughter, Angelica R. Chenard of Oakham; nephews, nieces, aunts and uncles. A sister, Eva Ann Spangler predeceased him. He was born in Worcester, the son of Charles M. and Eva H. (Labbe) Chenard and lived here all his life.

Mr. Chenard graduated from North High School and New England School of Accounting, both in Worcester. He worked as a staff accountant at Norton Co. in Worcester for 40 years. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, spending time with his family and taking walks with his granddaughter.

The funeral service for Mr. Chenard will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, January 4, in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours are from 5 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, January 3 in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Why Me?
