Jacob Wren Throckmorton, beloved son, brother, and friend, passed away from natural causes on July 22, 2014 in Bass River, Massachusetts. He was born on October 21, 1994 to parents Mark and Karen (Hersh) Throckmorton.

Jacob was a kind and talented individual, known by family, friends, and peers for his infectious laugh, sense of humor, and creativity. He devoted his young life to music and art, exploring his own musical passions through song writing, vocals, and acoustic performances, while designing album, banner, and webpage artwork for several emerging American hip hop and rap musicians. Most recently, Jacob served as an ongoing contributor to the content and layout of a popular fashion blog. He was excited to begin studying at the College of Art and Design at Lesley University in the fall.

Jacob’s love for humanity and compassion for others was the fabric of his daily life. He enjoyed spending his summers with family and friends on Cape Cod. He was blessed to share exceptionally close relationships with his late grandparents and great-grandparents, with whom he visited each weekend. His love of family inspired him to volunteer with the Council on Aging in Bedford, Massachusetts, where he had worked with senior citizens of his local community since middle school.

Jacob will be forever loved and remembered by his parents, Mark and Karen; his brother, Joshua; his sister, Hayli; his extended family; and his dear friends. He was the grandson of the late Phyllis LeBlanc and step-grandson of Jerry LeBlanc; the grandson of the late Aharon Hersh and step-grandson of Reus Chaya Hersh; the grandson of Dana and Erma Throckmorton; and the great-grandson of the late Samuel and Lillian Chafetz, and Otis and Eda Wren.

A graveside service will be conducted on Friday, July 25, 2014 at the Worcester County Memorial Park, 217 Richards Avenue, Paxton, MA, at 12:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Bedford Council on Aging, 12 Mudge Way, Bedford, MA, 01730.
