Subscription Update Obituary

    Isabelle M. (Tansey) LaFontaine, 93, of Worcester, died Tuesday, August 3, 2010 in the Jewish Healthcare Center. Her husband of 65 years, Robert C. LaFontaine, died in 2001.

    She leaves two daughters, Carol A. McGrain and her husband Tom and Kathleen M. Robinson, all of Worcester; four grandchildren, Jonathan T. McGrain and his wife Thanh of Richboro, PA, Christopher P. Robinson and his wife Kate of Wrentham, Moira A. McGrain and her husband Michael A. Flumian of Del Mar, CA and Patrick J. Robinson and his wife Kelly of Rutland; ten great grandchildren, Andrew, Lennox and Sydney McGrain, Claudia and Henry Robinson and Katya, Fiona, Andrei, Liam and Massimo Flumian. Three brothers, William, John and Frank Tansey predeceased her.

    Mrs. LaFontaine was born in Worcester, the daughter of Frank J. and Isabelle (Healy) Tansey. She grew up in Worcester and attended South High School. For many years during her marriage, Mrs. LaFontaine resided in Holden, later returning to Worcester. Isabelle's family expresses their deep gratitude to the staff at the Jewish Healthcare Center for the dedicated care that Isabelle received during her stay there.

    The funeral is Saturday, August 7th from O'CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue with a Mass at 11:00 AM in St. Paul's Cathedral, 15 Chatham Street. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. A calling hour is from 9:30 until 10:30 A.M. Saturday in the funeral home.
