Subscription Update Obituary

     Howard N. Sturgis (55), of 5 Clifton St. Worcester, passed away January 8, 1988 after being sticken ill at his home. A devoted husband and father, he leaves his wife, Marilyn A. (Goodrow) and his seven children; Mark Stanley and his wife Maureen (Mulls), Nancy Ann, Daniel Cary and his wife Elaine (Mullen), Thomas Nelson, Julieanne Marie, Susan Elizabeth and Catherine Ellen Sturgis. He also leaves four grandchildren, Jenna, Jonathon, Rebecca and Jennifer Sturgis.

     Howard was a born in Worcester, son of Stanley and Julia (Samuelson) Sturgis. His sister Dorothy passed in 1986, and his sister Norma passed in 1936. Howard is a graduate of Commerence High School and attended Holy Cross College before serving in the Korean War. Howard has worked as a Composer for the Worcester Telegram and Gazette for 30 years. Howard will be fondly remembered by all as an avid Red Sox, Celtics and Patriots fan. A born scholar and writer, we will remember Howard’s quick wit, lively debates and unparelled wisdom. May he forever rest in peace.
