Subscription Update Obituary

   Henry H. Enman Sr., 88, of 48 Houghton St., Worcester, died peacefully Wednesday, October 3, 2007 at the Holy Trinity Nursing Center.

   His wife of 60 years, Edna M. (O'Brien) Enman, died June 4. He leaves a son, Henry H. Enman Jr. and his wife Gail of Holden, a daughter, Joyce Phillips and her husband Christopher of Worcester, seven grandchildren, Jennifer Heerwagen, Kerri and Timothy Enman, and Hillary, Ian, Samantha and Graham Phillips, and a great-grandson, Joey Gibson. His sister, Jessie M. Ryan, and three brothers, William, John and Frederick Enman, predeceased him.

   Henry was born in Worcester, son of Wallace and Ellen (Mannix) Enman and lived in Worcester all his life. He attended St. Stephen's High School.

   He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II serving with the 280th Combat Engineers. He saw action in the European Theater including the Battle of the Bulge.

   He was a truck driver for Adley Express Co. for many years, before retiring. He later worked for the U.S. Postal Service for several years. He was a member of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters Local 170 and St. Stephen's Parish.

   Calling hours at the Athy Memorial Home, 111 Lancaster St., Worcester, are Friday, Oct. 5 from 5 to 8 p.m. The funeral will be Saturday, Oct. 6 from the funeral home with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Stephen's Church, 357 Grafton St., Worcester. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton.
