Subscription Update Obituary

    Helen P. (Szadziewicz) Kaminski, 93, died Saturday, May 15, 2010 in St. Vincent Hospital after an illness.

    Her husband of 56 years, Benjamin S. Kaminski, died in 2006. She leaves two sons, Benjamin S. Kaminski Jr., and his wife Philippa of Virginia Beach, VA and John J. Kaminski of Sutton; two daughters, Gretchen H. Kaminski of Seabrook, MD and Lydia B. Keach and her husband Frederick of Worcester; a sister, Gertrude R. Collison of Niagara Falls; 7 grandchildren, Megan, Caitlin, Patrick, Nicholas, Marina, Joseph and Amelia; nieces and nephews. A brother, Joseph H. Szadziewicz and two sisters, Theresa L. Szadziewicz and Alice J. McMahon predeceased her.

    Mrs. Kaminski was born in Worcester the daughter of Joseph W. and Bronislawa (Prusko) Szadziewicz and lived in Northborough for over 50 years. She graduated from Classical High School and Becker Jr. College.

    Helen worked in the Superintendent's Office for the Northborough and Southborough School District for 17 years retiring 1982. She loved to sew and knit. Helen was also an avid reader and a huge Patriots fan.

    The funeral for Mrs. Kaminski will be held on Wednesday, May 19th with a 10:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, 34 Ward Street, Worcester. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of one's choice. Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden is directing arrangements.
