Subscription Update Obituary

   Helen M. (Parslow) Day, 83, of Worcester, died Thursday, April 23rd at the UMass Memorial Medical Center, Worcester, after an illness.

   Her husband, Roy S. Day died in 1970.

   She leaves her two children, Bruce S. Day and his wife Donna of Worcester, and Doreen N. Mann and her husband Thomas of Worcester; her brother, David Parslow and his wife Ann of Leicester; a sister-in-law, Rose Day of Worcester; five grandchildren, Thomas and Steven Day, Laurie McCumber, Kimberly D'Arci, and Randy Mann; six great grandchildren, Jonathan Day, Mason Sylwanovicz, Ryan and Hannah McCumber, Meghan D'Arci and James Mann; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was born in Worcester, daughter of the late David B. and Irene (Leonard) Parslow, and has lived here all of her life. She graduated from Commerce High School.

   Mrs. Day worked for the former Coffee Cup Card & Gift Shop in Auburn and for State Mutual Life Assurance before retiring in 1989.

   Along with her family, Helen was a founding member of Faith Baptist Church in Auburn, where she served as the assistant treasurer for many years, and was a Sunday school teacher. She was also a volunteer for the Friday lunch program at the First Assembly Christian Academy during the late 1990's.

   Relatives and friends are invited at attend visiting hours on Sunday, April 26th from 3-6 PM in the Britton-Wallace Funeral Home, 91 Central St., Auburn. Her funeral will be on Monday, April 27th at 1 PM in Faith Baptist Church, 22 Faith Avenue, Auburn. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton.

   Helen's family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the Faith Baptist Church, 22 Faith Avenue, Auburn, MA 01501.
