Helen L. Forrister, 82, of Shrewsbury, died Monday, October 17 at her home. Her husband, Walter E. Forrister died in 2001. She leaves 3 sons, Dale Forrister of Rutland, Glen Forrister and his wife Laura of Clinton and Scott Forrister and his wife Nancy of Clinton; two daughters,Laurie Harms and her husband John of Shrewsbury and Jill Kelly and her husband Mark of Shrewsbury; two brothers, Edward Cathline and his wife Lillian of Dudley and Roy Cathline and his wife Fay of Boylston; 1 sister, Ruth Ziegler of Sheffield, MA; 7 grandchildren; several nieces and nephew and two special friends, Joyce and Jerry. Born in Worcester, daughter of Wilfrid W. and Ethel (Howe) Cathline she graduated from Major Beal High School in 1947.

Mrs. Forrister worked in the returns department at Spag’s Supply retiring 21 years ao. She was a former member of Shrewsbury Women’s Club. She enjoyed gardening, painting, baking, cooking and her cottage in Canada.

Services and burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society , N.E. Division, Inc. 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701 or MSPCA. Howard C. Allen Funeral Home, 653 Main St., is assisting with arrangements.
