Subscription Update Obituary

     Helen J. (Hilton) Sweares Mills, 78, of 21 View Street died Monday, August 6, 2007 at the home of her daughter, following a brief illness. Her husband of twenty-nine years, Harold J. Mills, died in 1995.
    
She leaves two daughters, Nancy J. Sweares and Florence E. Schultz; three sons, James T. Sweares, Edward J. Mills, and Harold D. Mills; two sisters, Evelyn Berglind and Doris King; six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. A brother, William H. Hilton predeceased her.
    
Helen was born in Milford, the daughter of Clarence R. and Lillian (Taft) Hilton and was a 1946 graduate of Charlton High School. She worked at the former ITT Suprenant Co. in Clinton for many years before her retirement. A member of the Presbyterian Church, USA, she was active in the church community and its various programs throughout the years, including the Community Café. Helen volunteered at the James 2:15 Soup Kitchen, and together with her husband, Harold, founded the Meals on Wheels Program and continued to deliver meals until December, when she became ill. She was a life member of both the VFW Auxiliary and the DAV Auxiliary. She enjoyed gardening and bird watching, and spending time with family and friends.
    
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 9, 2007 at 10:00 AM in the Presbyterian Church, USA. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours will be held Wednesday, August 8, 2007 from 5:00 – 7:00 PM in the McNally & Watson Funeral Home, 304 Church St. Flowers may be sent or donations made in Helen’s memory to the Presbyterian Church USA, 175 Chestnut St., Clinton, MA 01510.
