Subscription Update Obituary

     Helen C. (Sarsfield) Bazinet, 88, of Worcester died peacefully Tuesday September 4, 2012 in the Jewish Healthcare Center. Her husband Leo Bazinet died in 2000. Helen is survived by her loving children, a daughter, Deborah Bazinet with whom she lived, a son, Bruce”Buddy” Bazinet and his wife Lori of Paxton; a granddaughter, Abbey Bazinet, and a sister, Dorothy Astrella. She was predeceased by a grandson Corey Bazinet, and a brother William Sarsfield.
     Helen was born in Worcester daughter of the late Dennis and Ida (Beauregard) Sarsfield and has lived here all her life. She was a graduate of the David Hale Fanning Girls Trade School. Helen worked as a waitress for many years at the former Friendly’s Restaurants and also W. T. Grants Store in Worcester, and also worked several years at GE-Telechron Company. Helen enjoyed being a homemaker. She enjoyed playing bingo, taking her trips to Foxwoods and family holidays. Her most precious times were those spent with her family. She will truly be missed by her family and friends.
     Helen’s family would like to thank the Commonwealth Oncology Staff and Dr. Susan     Donahue for their kindness and compassion shown to Helen and her family during her illness. It is greatly appreciated.
     Helen’s funeral will be held Friday from the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL 370 Plantation St. with a funeral Mass of Christian burial at 11:30 AM in St. Colomba’s Church 18 Richards Ave, Paxton. A calling hour will be held from 9:AM to 10:30AM in the funeral home. Interment will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to J.H.C. Hospice 629 Salisbury St. Worcester, MA. 01609.
