Helen A. (Browne) Lambert, 93, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 14, 2025, in the comfort of her daughter’s home in Leicester, surrounded by her loving family.

Born and raised in Worcester, Helen was the daughter of Irish immigrants Daniel D. and Helena F. (Callaghan) Browne. She attended Worcester Public Schools and was a graduate of Commerce High School. Helen was employed as a payroll clerk with the Norton Company for 25 years. She married the love of her life, Richard A. Lambert, and they shared 44 devoted years together until his passing in 1999.

Helen is survived by her beloved children: her sons, Richard A. “Rick” Lambert and Robert A. “Rob” Lambert, both of Worcester, and her daughter, Judy Crossman and her husband Richard of Leicester. She also leaves her cherished grandchildren, Michael and Jon Luzzo, Buddy and Andrew Lambert, and Megan and Ryan Lambert, her treasured great-grandchildren, Olivia and Sam Luzzo, Hannah, Lillian, Mikey, and Ellie Luzzo, and Claire Lambert. She is also survived by her siblings, Nancy Morrissey of Jonesboro, GA, and David Browne and his wife Rita of Southbridge.

In addition to her husband, Helen was predeceased by her siblings, Patricia Gaboury, Mary T. Duquette, Catherine Shaughnessy, James V. Browne, and Richard J. Browne.

Helen enjoyed playing Bingo, bowling, and card games, especially Rummy 500, and she loved taking trips to Foxwoods with her husband Dick. Above all, her greatest joy was her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who were truly the apple of her eye, and spending time with her family was her greatest passion.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate staff of Notre Dame Hospice and Palliative Care for their kindness and loving care during Helen’s final days.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Calling Hour on Friday, December 19, 2025, from 10:00 to 11:00 AM, followed immediately by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM. The Calling Hour and Funeral Mass will be held at St. Columba Parish, 12 Richards Ave., Paxton, MA 01612. Interment will follow at Worcester County Memorial Park, 217 Richards Ave., Paxton, MA 01612.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Helen’s name may be made to Notre Dame Hospice and Palliative Care, 555 Plantation Street, Worcester, MA 01605-2376.
