Subscription Update Obituary

     Harvey C. Vasseur, 82, of Paxton, died on Thursday, July 26, in his home after an illness. His wife, Marilyn M. (Miller) Vasseur, died in 1989.
    
Mr. Vasseur is survived by a daughter, Kimberly A. Vasseur of Paxton; four sisters, Leona Maio of Paxton, Lorraine Norcross of Leicester, Gladys Farrell of Woodland Hills, CA and Theresa Smith of Auburn and several nephews and nieces. Mr. Vasseur was born in Worcester, son of Alfred and Lena (LeClair) Vasseur and graduated from St. Peter's High School. He is predeceased by a brother, Alfred Vasseur.
    
Mr. Vasseur worked as a manager for the former First National Supermarkets and was a member of St. Columba Church where he was a former Lector. He was also a member of the Leicester Knights of Columbus where he served as an officer and enjoyed woodworking, gardening and bowling in the Leicester Senior Bowling League.
    
The funeral will be held on Monday, July 30 at 10 AM in St. Columba Church, 18 Richards Ave., Paxton. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the VNA Hospice, 120 Thomas St., Worcester, MA 01608 or to the UMass Memorial Foundation / Pancreatic Cancer Research Fund, One Biotech, 365 Plantation St., Suite 100 Worcester, MA 01605. Alfred Roy & Sons Funeral Home, 12 Hammond St., Worcester is directing arrangements.
