Subscription Update Obituary

Harold E. Pearson, 82, of Holden, died peacefully on Memorial Day in the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, West Palm Beach, FL after an illness.

His wife of 59 years, Barbara J. (Mandell) Pearson died in 2006. He leaves two sons, Dennis and his wife Kay of West Boylston and David of Holden; three grandsons, Scott, Todd and Mark; a granddaughter, Erika; a great-granddaughter, Summer; a brother in law, Matt J. Mandell Jr. and his wife Grace of Camarillo, CA. A sister, Ruth Friberg predeceased him. He was born in Worcester the son of Erick G. and Clara (Christiansson) and lived 59 years in Holden. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and the Mendelsson singers, the Odin Club, the Worcester County Power Squadron all in Worcester and the Rufus Putnam Masonic Lodge in Rutland. Harold enjoyed wintering at their home in Florida.

The funeral service will be private in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main St., Holden. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Friends of the Mercy Center, 25 West Chester St., Worcester, MA 01605 or Disabled American Veterans, 807 Maine Ave. Washington, DC 20024.
