Subscription Update Obituary

     Gloria R. (Guyan) Belanger, 89, of Auburn died Monday July 7, 2014 in the UMASS-Memorial Medical Center with her family by her side.

Gloria was predeceased by her husband Raymond O. Belanger, Sr. who passed away in 1978. She was also predeceased by four brothers and three sisters.

Gloria leaves her son Raymond O. Belanger, Jr., and his wife Claire of Auburn, 2 grandchildren; Nicole Rizzo and her husband Jason of Charlton, Gregory R. Belanger and his wife Melissa (Lamonica) of Auburn, and 4 loving great grandchildren; Ariana, Madison, Abigayle, & Bradyn. She also leaves a sister Christella Manseau of Kingstown, RI.

Gloria was born in Auburn, Massachusetts, daughter of the late John and Christella (Benoit) Guyan. She was a graduate of Commerce High School in Worcester.

Gloria worked as a purchasing agent at Worcester Pressed Aluminum for many years. Following that, she worked in the same position for Turf Products in Worcester until her retirement.

Gloria was an avid reader; she loved her trips to the casino, and spending time with her family. She was an active participant with the Auburn Senior Center, and she belonged to St. Joseph’s Parish in Auburn.

Gloria’s family would like to extend a warm thank you to the staff of the Life Care Center of Auburn for their patience and professional care.

Following cremation, Gloria’s funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday July 17, 2014 in St. Joseph’s Church, 189 Oxford Street North in Auburn. A private burial will be held immediately following Mass.
