Subscription Update Obituary

     Geraldine H.”Jerry’ Simeone, 82, of Worcester Road, passed away peacefully on November 9, 2012 in the Jewish Healthcare Center , Worcester. Jerry was born on December 21, 1929, the daughter of Aubrey and Elsie Greenwald, in Baltimore, MD. Her family moved to Worcester when she was a young child. She attended Commerce High School and worked for many years at the Romar Tissue Mill, Sprague Electric and the L. Farber Company.
     Jerry married the love of her life and best friend, Nicholas Simeone, on October 10, 1951, and they began their lives together in the house that Nick built on Worcester Road. Jerry was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was also a passionate Red Sox fan, through thick and thin. She is survived by her beloved husband, Nicholas, of 62 years; her brother, Aubrey Greenwald, Jr.; her son, Paul and his wife, Deborah, of Princeton, MA; her son, Wayne and his wife, Joanne, of Tolland, MA; her grandchildren, Stephen Nicholas, Calla Noelle, Justin and Kristen.
     Calling hours will be held from 4:00 – 7:00PM on Monday, November 12, 2012 at Pillsbury Funeral Home, 96 S. Barre Road, Barre. The funeral will be held at 10:00AM on Tuesday in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton, MA. The family would like to thank Dr. Joseph Stenger and the staff of the Barre Health Center for their excellent care of Jerry over the years. We would also like to express our heartfelt gratitude to the third floor staff at the Jewish Healthcare Center for their extraordinary kindness, compassion and gentle care of Jerry during the last days of her life. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Jewish Healthcare Center, 629 Salisbury Street, Worcester, MA 01605.
