Subscription Update Obituary

   Geraldine F. (Lekstrom) Williamson, 64, of 14 Duncannon Ave., died Friday, November 9, 2007 in the Rose Monahan Hospice Home, Worcester.

   She leaves her daughter, Christine M. Piltzecker wife of Robert W. Piltzecker, Jr. of Rutland; a sister, Marlene A. Flanagan of Port Orange, FL; and the light and love of her life – her grandson, Matthew, whom she cared for at her "Nana School" following her retirement. In addition she leaves a niece, Beth Ann Garreffa of Crystal Lake, IL and a nephew, Kevin M. Flanagan of Raleigh, NC. A sister, Patricia Phillips, predeceased her in 1973. She was born in Worcester, daughter of Walter and Margaret (Lynch) Lekstrom, and lived here all of her life.

   Ms. Williamson was a graduate of Ascension High School, Worcester State College and earned her master's degree in 1994 from Assumption College. She worked in administration for the City of Worcester School Department at the Durkin Administration Building for 12 years as Head of Technology and Testing where she continued as a consultant until October of this year. Previously she was an elementary school teacher at the Clark St. School, Grafton St. School and Dartmouth St. School, all in Worcester.

   Relatives and friends are invited to a calling hour from 5 to 6 p.m. followed by a funeral service at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, November 13th, in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main St., Holden. Burial will be private in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Rose Monahan Home, c/o VNA, 120 Thomas St., Worcester, MA 01608.
