Subscription Update Obituary

    George G. Hippert, 69, of Worcester died on Friday, August 27, 2010 in the UMass Memorial Medical Center – Memorial Campus after an illness.

    Mr. Hippert's wife, Claire (Thibeault) Hippert, died in 1997. He is survived by a daughter, Joyce C. Casey of Worcester; a brother, Kenneth Hippert of Leicester; three sisters, Carol Salvidio of Arizona, Joanne Coraccio of Holden and Judith Manna of Worcester; 5 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren and many nephews and nieces.

    George was born in Worcester son of the late Roy Hippert and Rita (Thout) Garceau and is also predeceased by a son, George Hippert Jr., who died in 2004 and a brother, Robert Hippert. He served in the Army National Guard for 23 years.

    Mr. Hippert was a machinist for the Jamesbury Company for over 20 years and enjoyed fishing. He was a wonderful father and will be missed by all.

    The funeral will be held on Monday, August 30th from the Alfred Roy & Sons Funeral Home, 12 Hammond St. with a Mass at 10 AM in St. Joseph's Church 35 Hamilton St. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours are Sunday, August 29th from 6 to 8 PM in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society 30 Speen Street Framingham, MA 01701.
