George Blair Maloney, 80, passed away on February 4, 2025, at Care One in Millbury, Mass., following a period of declining health. Born January 31, 1945, George was the son of Nancy (Hart) Maloney and Francis B. Maloney. He was raised in Northborough, Mass. where he attended Northborough public schools prior to his graduation from Algonquin Regional High School in 1963.

Shortly after graduation he enlisted in the U.S. Air Force where he honorably served for 4 years. Upon returning home, he joined the Northborough Police Department where he was employed as a patrolman the next 18 years. Following his service as a police officer, George then moved to Georgia for a number of years, where he worked at and managed a number of golf courses, until his return to Massachusetts where he continued employment at local courses. George leaves behind his wife, Maureen Maloney of Northborough, a son Adam Maloney of Weymouth, Mass, his three grandchildren, Rowan, Mac and Sully, two sisters, Peggy Hauck of Millbury, Mass and Janet Nigosanti of Ormond Beach, Florida.

Following his wishes, funeral services and interment will be private, for his family.

Arrangements are under the care of Hays Funeral Home, 56 Main Street, Northborough.
