George A. Verdolino, 90, of Worcester, passed away on Monday, August 23, 2010, in Autumn Village.  His wife, Mary F. (Bartley) Verdolino, predeceased him in February 1991.

George is survived by his loving family, three daughters: Maryanne Almstrom and her husband Roger of Mahwah, NJ, Elaine V. Pugliese and her husband Robert and Judy Verdolino and her fiancé Paul Kelley; a son, Bob Verdolino, all of Worcester; four grandchildren: Lisa Pugliese-Dirsa, Jaime Almstrom, Jesse Verdolino and his wife Colleen and Jeremy Verdolino; a great granddaughter, Jillian Dirsa; many nieces and nephews. George was also pre-deceased by his grandson, Robert Pugliese, Jr. and by his seven brothers and two sisters. He was born in Worcester, son of the late Giro and Philomena (Tomarra) Verdolino and has lived here all his life. Upon his graduation from Worcester Boy's Trade, he served his nation proudly in the United States Navy, aboard the U.S.S. Chemung, during World War II.

Mr. Verdolino worked as a machinist for many years at Sjogren Tool and Die in Auburn, before he retired. He was a member of Our Lady of Loreto Parish.
