Subscription Update Obituary

     Gaye M. Stevens, 79, of Worcester, died Wednesday, May 7th in her home. Her husband Everett G. Stevens, died in 2000. She leaves her son, Robert A. Stevens; three daughters, Deborah L. Stevens, Roxanne Stevens-McKeon and her husband, Kevin and Nancy J. Campbell all of Worcester; two brothers, Jay G. Black of Virginia and Nicholas W. Black and his wife, Eleanor of Brennan, WA; a sister, Te-Ata Hery of Williamsburg, VA; three grandchildren, Christopher and Daniel Campbell and Katie Lee McKeon; a great-granddaughter, Nora Carroll; and several nephews and nieces; as well as brothers and sisters-in-law, Gerry Stevens and his wife, Karen and David Stevens and his wife Regina, Frank Wolanski and his wife, Roberta and Paul McKeon and his wife Cheryl. Her brother, Joseph Hery and sister Penelope Beckwith predeceased her.

     She was born in Holden, the daughter of Thais (Beckwith) Black. Mrs. Stevens was a graduate of Worcester Girl’s Trade School; and was a member of St. Peter’s Parish.

     Her funeral is Monday, May 12th from O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue, with a Mass at 10:30 a.m. in St. Peter’s Church, 929 Main Street. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park. Calling hours are Sunday, May 11th from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
