Gary L. Shoup, 54, of 12 Munyan Rd, who worked in commercial sales for Thomas G. Faria Co. in Uncasville, died December 6, 2000, at home. He was born and raised in Worcester, Mass., son of John L. and Mary Vivian (Watt) Shoup. He lived in Oxford, Mass., and 10 years in Putnam. He earned a bachelor’s from the University of New Hampshire in 1968 and was a captain in the Army. He was involved in community theatre in northeast Connecticut and northwest Rhode Island. He leaves his wife, Joann (Chojnacki) Shoup; a son, Harrison Shoup of Woodstock; and a sister, Priscilla Shoup Bizer of Randolph.
