Subscription Update Obituary

     Franklin W. "Tex" Johnson, 87, of Chadwick Street in Worcester, formerly of Boylston, passed away, Monday, August 20, 2007, in Rose Monahan Hospice Residence at Coes Pond. His wife of sixty-two years, Ann (Bisceglia) Johnson, passed away in 2004.
    
He leaves his son, Harold W. Johnson and his wife Patricia A. Johnson of Worcester; three daughters: Patricia A. Sayles and her husband Darrell of Leominster, Sharon L. Parent of Worcester, and Deborah K. Goodrich and her husband Bradley of Boylston. A sister, Shirley Frank of Loveland, Colorado; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. A brother, Dean Stutz, predeceased him. He was born in Fort Morgan, Colorado, the son of Alfred H. Johnson and Hazel (Davis) Johnson-Stutz. Franklin served in the United States Army, during World War II, in the Sicilian and Northern African Campaign Theatres, with the 157th Infantry.
    
Mr. Johnson worked as a lineman for New England Power Company, retiring in 1981 as a line foreman. He was a member of The American Legion and The International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. He was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather. He loved working in his garden and tooling around on the yard on his riding mower.
    
His funeral will be held Thursday, August 23rd, at 1 p.m. in MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester. Interment will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours will be held Thursday, from 11:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. in the funeral home, immediately prior to the funeral service.
