Subscription Update Obituary

    Franklin Delano Madelle, 76, of Howe Village died Monday, March 29, 2010 with his family at his side in the Rose Monahan Hospice Home in Worcester.

    He was the husband of Patricia A. (O'Brien) Madelle who died in 1985. He leaves a daughter, Marilyn M. Eismeier and her husband John of Worcester, a son, Michael M. Madelle and his wife Luann of Spencer, a sister, Doris Boulanger of Spencer, two grandsons, Michael and Ryan Madelle, and many nieces and nephews.

    Frank was a supervisor at Flexcon Co. in Spencer for 30 years, retiring in 1995.

    Born in Leicester, he was the son of Frank J. and Guilda M. (Desoimier) Madelle, and graduated from David Prouty High School in Spencer. He later served his country during the Korean War in the U.S. Army.

    Frank was an avid bass fisherman, and once played softball in the Worcester and No.Brookfield Softball Leagues for many years. He also was a basketball coach for the Spencer Middle School students.

    The family wishes to thank Worcester V.N.A. Care Hospice for the exceptional care given prior to his death and a special thank you to Eisenberg Assisted Living in Worcester.

    A Memorial Mass will be held on Tuesday, April 6 at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of the Rosary Church, 7 Church St., Spencer. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to V.N.A. Care Hospice, 120 Thomas St., Worcester, 01608 or Lewy Body Dementia Association Inc., 912 Killian Hill Rd.
