Subscription Update Obituary

   Frank R. Hollows, 68, died Wednesday Jan. 14 in UMass Memorial Hospital.

   He leaves his wife of 10 years, Barbara A. (Sinclair) Hollows, 2 sons, Michael W. Hollows of Sunderland, and John F. Hollows and his wife Rebecca of Webster, a daughter, Jayne E. Hollows of Willington, CT., 2 sisters, Marilyn Haskell of Auburn, and Janet Parks and her husband Gary, of Huntsville, Alabama and 4 grandchildren, Amber, Brandon, Christopher, and Madelyn. He was predeceased by a brother, Ernest Hollows.

   Born in Worcester, son of William and Frances (Frye) Hollows, he graduated from South High School and was drafted by the Pittsburg Pirates as a pitcher. He was the owner and operator of F&H Transport for more than 15 years. A music lover, he founded The Gospel 7, which performed throughout New England, and was recently a member of the Melody Makers and the Worcester Valley Scottish Rite Chorus. He also produced several variety shows. He was a member of Guiding Light Lodge of Masons and the Worcester Scottish Rite. He won awards for his antique car- a 1956 Pontiac Chieftan, and founded the Yankee Chapter of the Pontiac-Oakland Club. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Spencer where he was a Church Youth Leader, and was currently the Church Lay Leader. He was a Lassie League Umpire, and an All-Star team coach.

   A funeral will be held at 10 am. Monday Jan. 19 in the First United Methodist Church of Spencer 161 Main St. Spencer. Burial will be in Worcester Co. Memorial Park. Calling hours will be from 2-4 pm. Sunday Jan. 18 in CASWELL-KING FUNERAL HOME 474 Grove St. Worcester. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Diabetes Assn. 330 Congress St. Boston 02210, or First United Methodist Church of Spencer 161 Main St. Spencer 01562.
