Subscription Update Obituary

     Frank H. Carey, Jr., 75, of 1606 Main St., died Thursday, April 12 at St. Vincent Hospital in Worcester. He leaves his wife of 51 years, Phyllis A. (Drolet) Carey, two sons Francis H. Carey, III and Mark D. Carey both of Spencer, a daughter Debra A. Pupkar and her husband Michael of Jacksonville, N.C., three brothers Ronald Carey of Leicester, Joseph Carey of Worcester and Dean Carey of Fitchburg, two sisters June Rice of Millbury and Sharon Rivelli of Leicester, eight grandchildren Jonathan Orsi, Amanda Carey, Alicea Carey, Ashley Carey, Andrea Rose Carey all of Spencer, Kimberly Orsi of Leicester, Catlin and DeeDee Higgins of Spencer and many nieces and nephews. Frank is predeceased by his daughter Lisa J. Orsi in 1989 and four brothers, Paul, George, Ernest and Gerald Carey, and two sisters Phyllis Hedge and Arlene Brunner.

     Frank operated and managed "Mark's Pool Supply Store" from his home for 28 years. He previously was a truckdriver for the former Shipper Service Express Co. in Worcester for many years. He was a member of the Teamster's Local 170-Worcester. He was a member of Our Lady of the Rosary Church in Spencer, a 30 year member of Rev. Ralph DiOrio's Ministry of Divine Mercy and Healing. A Korean War Army veteran, he was a member and past commander of the Cherry Valley American Legion Post # 443. Frank was a devoted husband, father and grandfather who had a special fondness for his grandchildren. He had a very positive attitude towards life and especially his illness which he bravely fought for three years.

     The funeral for Frank, will be held Monday, April 16 from the J.HENRI MORIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 23 Maple Terr., Spencer with a Mass at 10 a.m.in Our Lady of the Rosary Church, 7 Church St., Spencer. Burial will follow with Military Honors in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours are Sunday, April 15 from 2 to 5p.m. in the funeral home.
