Subscription Update Obituary

   Frank A. "F.A." Knowlton, 77, of Worcester, died Sat., Oct. 27, at home.

   He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Eileen T. (Blanc) Knowlton; three daughters, Marcia E. Nichols and her husband Ted of Whitinsville, JoAnn E. Fitton and her husband Carl of Rutland and Lynn S. Knowlton of Auburn; two sons, Frank A. Knowlton of Auburn and John F. Knowlton of Worcester; three grandchildren, Krista Nichols, Nicholas Fitton and Christopher Fitton. A sister Jane and two brothers, Leland and Henry predeceased him. He was born in Worcester, son of Fred and Helena (Mitchell) Knowlton and attended Bancroft School and Proctor Academy.

   F.A. was a long distance tractor trailer doubles driver for the former Red Star Express. He won two state championships in doubles competition. He was a member of the Teamsters Local #170, the Million Mile Club, traveling over a million accident free miles, past president of the Teamsters Retirees' Club, Life member of the Worcester Lodge of Elks and past trustee, life member of the Froshinn Club and member of the Main South American Post #341.He enjoyed many summers on his beloved Point Judith, R.I. He was proud to be a U.S. Marine and served in Korea.

   The Funeral Service will be held Wed., Oct. 31, at 10:30 AM in CALLAHAN & FAY BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 61 Myrtle St. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Visiting Hours are Tues., Oct. 30, from 4 to 7 PM at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to, VNA Hospice, 120 Thomas St., Worcester, 01608.
