Subscription Update Obituary

     Francis Patrick Mailea, 65, passed away Friday, October 18th with his family by his side. Fran leaves his loving companion of 23 years, Shirley J. Smith and her children; Lisa Hall, Deanna Blood, Steven MacNevin, Pamela MacNevin, Dawn Lacombe and Frederick Henschel; 15 grandchildren; three sisters, Theresa Mattus, Kathleen Blair and Patricia Lindberg; two brothers, Robert Mailea and Thomas Bolivar and several nieces and nephews. Fran’s two brothers, Richard and Martin Mailea predeceased him.

     Fran was born in Worcester the son of Francis and Beatrice (McDonough) Mailea Bolivar. He graduated from Worcester Boys Trade School. Fran worked for many years as a fork lift mechanic at NITCO Material Handling Solutions in Shrewsbury before retiring. Fran was a member of The Auburn Elks. Fran loved deep sea fishing, playing on the computer and especially spending time with his grandchildren.

     Visiting hours for Fran will be on Monday, October 21st from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm at CALLAHAN & FAY BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 61 Myrtle St., Worcester. A funeral service will take place at 12:00 pm in the funeral home. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Flowers may be sent or memorial donations may be made to the Mary, Queen of the Rosary Food Pantry, 60 Maple St., Spencer, MA 01562.
