Subscription Update Obituary

     Francis J. Trainor, 85, passed away Tuesday, February 14, 2012.

     He leaves his wife of 28 years, Virginia Walsh; four children, Joan Boisseau and her husband Stephen of Worcester, Peter T. Trainor and his wife Kim of Westford, Michael J. and his wife Tami of Orlando, FL and Francis J. Trainor of Framingham; and eight grandchildren, Stephen Boisseau, Julia Boisseau, Natalie Trainor, Peter Trainor, Lea Trainor, Mariah Trainor, Sean Trainor and Michael Trainor. He also leaves two brothers, Peter T. and James C., both of Worcester; his former wife Delia Trainor and nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by his sister Mary Cronin.

     He was born in Milford, the son of Peter T. and Marion G. (Riding) Trainor and was an Army veteran of the Korean War. Francis graduated from St. Peter’s High School; St. Anselm’s College and received a Master’s degree from Boston University.

     He was an elementary school principal in the Worcester Public School system retiring after many years. He was a member of the Emerald Club, EAW, and the Massachusetts and National Teacher’s Associations.

     The funeral will be held on Saturday, February 18 from CALLAHAN & FAY BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 61 Myrtle Street with a Mass at 9:30 AM at Immaculate Conception Church, 353 Grove Street, Worcester. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Visiting hours are Friday, February 17 from 4-7 PM in the funeral home.
