Subscription Update Obituary

     Francis J. “Fran” Mallett, 70 of Millbury, formerly of Worcester, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 24, 2013 at UMASS Medical Center.
     Fran is survived by his wife of thirty-seven years, Joanne (Sclamo) Mallett; four brothers, Edward Mallet, Raymond Mallett and his wife Carol, Donald Mallett and Anthony Mallett and his wife Alison; three sisters, Louise Gilbert, Linda Booker and her husband James and Viola Rodriguez and her husband Edward all of Worcester; his beloved dog, Misty; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and many friends. He is predeceased by three brothers, Albert, George and Thomas Mallett.
     Fran was born in Worcester, a son of the late George and Dorothy (Tebo) Mallett. He lived here all his life until he moved to Millbury in August of 2012. Fran was a contractor for over thirty years retiring in 2005. He owned and operated “Just Right Contracting.” Fran was a member of Sacred Heart Church and the Fraternal Order of Eagles on Norfolk St. He was an avid golfer and loved playing pool.
     Services for Fran will be held on Friday, March 29, 2013 from the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St., Worcester with a Liturgy of the Word Service at 11:00 a.m. in Sacred Heart-St. Catherine of Sweden Church, 600 Cambridge St. Worcester. Entombment will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. A period of calling hours will be held on Thursday, March 28th from 4-7 p.m. in the funeral home.
