Francis H. Spaulding, 74, died Thursday, Feb. 6th in his home, after an illness.

     He leaves his wife, Judith A. (Brunelle) Gahan Spaulding; five children, David Spaulding of Woonsocket, RI, Harry Spaulding of Thompson, CT, Pat Pratt of Linwood, Darlene Spaulding of Uxbridge and Tammy Emerick and her husband, Brian of Uxbridge; a sister, Joyce Pendelton and her husband Ralph of Shrewsbury; two step children, Michael Gahan and his wife Patricia of Bonita Springs, FL and Patricia Barry and her husband, Christopher of Tempe, AZ; seven grandchildren; seven step grandchildren; three great grandchildren; nephews and nieces.

     Francis was a truck driver for many years and also worked in the recycling plastics industry. He also formerly owned Spaulding egg farm in Uxbridge. He always enjoyed working in his vegetable and flower gardens, which he took great pride in. Francis was a special Papa Frank to his step grandchildren.

     A special thank you to our CNAs Maureen, Jenn, Joni and the compassionate team at VNACare Hospice. Also, thank you for the wonderful care provided by Dr. Quinn and Jodi at the ALS Clinic with UMASS Worcester.

     His funeral service will be held Monday, Feb. 10th at 10 a.m. in Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St. in Millbury. Burial will be Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton. Calling hours are Sunday Feb. 9th from 1 to 4 p.m. in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to ALS, 315 Norwood Park South, Norwood, MA 02062.
