Francis C. Goodro, 76, of Leicester, died Wednesday, Dec. 14th. at St. Vincent Hospital in Worcester.
He leaves his wife of 55 years, Linda L. (Lavalley) Goodro, his daughter Kim Carlisi and her partner Kevin Patterson of Tierra Verde, FL, his son; Gary M. Goodro of Killingly, CT, two grandsons; Troy and Ryan Goodro, his brother; Wayne Goodro of E.Brookfield, and his sister; Cheryl Thibeault of Brookfield, several nieces and nephews.
Francis was a machinist at Tuthill Corp. in Millbury for many years, and retired in 2007, then continued working at Advanced Auto Parts prior to his full retirement in 2020.
He was born in Worcester, the son of Wilrose and Elizabeth (Edwards) Goodro, and attended David Prouty High School and later served his country with the US Marine Corps during the Vietnam War, receiving the Purple Heart.
He enjoyed golf, antique cars, hot rods and wintering along with his wife in Myrtle Beach, SC.
Graveside services with Military Honors will be held on Sat. May 6th. at 11 a.m. in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton.
