Frances E. (Brunelle) Collins Desmarais, 69, of Worcester, died Saturday, August 9, 2008, at St. Vincent Hospital, surrounded by her family.
She leaves her husband of 19 years, Ronald A. Desmarais; a daughter, Deborah DeLibertis of Worcester; three stepchildren, Lynn Pietal and her husband Paul of Sharon, Debra Hagberg and her husband Richard of Auburn, and Scott Desmarais and his wife Hiroe of Everett, Wash.; five brothers, Robert Brunelle of Worcester, George Brunelle and his wife Sharon of East Brookfield, Paul Brunelle and his wife Linda of Worcester, Charles Brunelle and his wife Marilyn of Pinellas Park, Fla., and Michael Brunelle of Largo, Fla.; three sisters, Janice Dillon and her husband James, Donna Lennon and her husband Michael, and Susan Murphy and her husband Dan, all of Worcester; 11 grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Her son, Richard Collins, died in 2004. She was also predeceased by three brothers, William, Ronald and Richard Brunelle, and a sister, Marie Pearson.
Frances was born in Worcester, daughter of the late George A. and Luna A. (Spaulding) Brunelle. She worked in the offices of the Norton Co. for 25 years, before retiring. She was also a waitress at the PNI Club for 12 years. She enjoyed bingo and trips to Foxwoods.
Calling hours at the Athy Memorial Home, 111 Lancaster St., Worcester, are Tuesday, Aug. 12 from 4 to 8 p.m. The funeral will be Wednesday, Aug. 13 from the funeral home with a Mass at 10 a.m. in Immaculate Conception Church, 353 Grove St., Worcester. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton.
