Subscription Update Obituary

     Frances D. (Capone) Villatico, 79 of Upton, passed away peacefully in her home on Monday, April 28, 2014 surrounded by her loving family.

     Frances’ husband of forty-six years, Virgil D. Villatico passed away on March 17, 2000. She is survived by her son, Paul Virgil Villatico and his wife Beth of Raleigh, NC; her daughter, Dolores Young and her husband Alexander of Upton with whom she lived; two beloved grandchildren, Sarah and Mollie Young both of Upton; many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her three brothers, Michael, Fred and Joseph Capone.

     Frances was born in Worcester, the daughter of the late Natale and Mollie (Pane) Capone. She grew up Worcester where she attended Commerce High School. She moved to Oxford in 1986 where she lived until 2005 when she moved to Upton. Frances was a medical records assistant for Fallon Clinic where she worked for twenty-five years retiring in 1991. She loved to cook and her greatest enjoyment was her granddaughters.

     Services for Frances will be held on Friday, May 2, 2014 from the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St., Worcester with a Mass at 10:00 a.m. in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 24 Mulberry St., Worcester. Burial next her husband will follow at Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton, MA. A period of calling hours will be held on Thursday, May 1, 2014 from 4-7 p.m. in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in honor of Frances can be made to: Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and the Jimmy Fund, P.O. Box 849168, Boston, MA 02284-9168.
