Worcester-Floyd J Sarasin, 75, of 1 Holland Road, a tool maker for many years, died yesterday in The Medical Center of Central Massachusetts – Memorial after a long illness.

He leaves his wife of 51 years, Marguerite R (Savage) Sarasin: a son, Joseph R Sarasin: a daughter, Donna M Kinney, all of Worcester: a brother Raymond Sarasin of Grafton: a sister, Myrtle Hradisky of Mesa, Arizona: and three grandchildren, including KImberly M Kinney of Worcester, who lived with him for many years. He was born in Dudley, son of George J and Ida M (Farmer) Sarasin, and lived there most of his life. He graduated from Worcester Boys’ Trade High School.

He was a Navy veteran of World War II, serving in Asia and the Pacific.

Mr. Sarasin was a toolmaker at Worcester Pressed Aluminum Co. for many years, retiring in 1985.

He was a member of Our Lady of the Angels Church, the Conway Veterans Association and Tatnuck Post 288, American Legion. He was active in senior citizen’s activities at St Pius X Church in Leicester and was a volunteer at several area hospitals.

The funeral will be held tomorrow from O’Connor Brothers Funeral Home, 592 Park Ave, with a Mass at 8:30a.m. in Our Lady of the Angels Church, 1222 Main St. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Easter Seal Home Health Care, 484 Main St. Worcester, 01608.
