Subscription Update Obituary

Florence Loretta (Thomas) Henry, 88 of Worcester, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 7, 2025 at Beaumont Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing, with her family by her side.

Florence was born on January 23, 1937 in Woonsocket, Rhode Island, a daughter of the late Walter Thomas and Lillian (Ouelette) D’Angelo. She worked as a mail clerk for the Worcester Public School Department for many years before her retirement. Florence enjoyed fishing, camping and going to the casino.

Florence’s husband, Martin J. Henry passed away in 2001. She is survived by two sons, Joseph Guenette and his wife Sandra of Athol, MA. and Ronald Guenette and his wife Pamela of Webster, MA; a daughter, Debra Richmond and her husband Robert of Worcester; a brother, Calvin McDaniel of Missouri; fourteen grandchildren and many great grandchildren. Besides her husband and parents, she is predeceased by a son, Paul Guenette.

A graveside service for Florence will be held on Wednesday, September 17, 2025 at 11:00 am in Worcester County Memorial Park, 217 Richards Ave., Paxton. MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St., Worcester is honored to be assisting the family with arrangements.
