Florence H. (Miscook) Zook, 97, of Amesbury, formerly of Worcester, died peacefully Wednesday March 12, 2014 in the Amesbury Village Nursing Center. Her husband of 51 years, Basil W. Zook died in 1992.

     She leaves a son, Douglas P. Zook and his wife Mary of Boston; a daughter, Diane Dombrowski of Spencer; three grandchildren, Darwin, Susan and Lisa and three great-grandchildren and a special friend Betsy Hathaway of New York. She was predeceased by her brother, Alfred Miscook. Florence was born in Adams, MA., a daughter of Andrew and Helen (Sczurek) Miscook. She lived in Worcester for many years, then Newburyport and recently resided in Amesbury. Florence was well-loved and known for her wit, warmth and positive spirit. She enjoyed baking, sewing, scrabble and was an artist, painting often winsome nature scenes in oils. Mrs. Zook was a member of Our Lady of Czestochowa Church in Worcester.

     The funeral will be held on Monday March 17, 2014 from HENRY-DIRSA FUNERAL HOME, 33 Ward St., Worcester with a Mass at 11:00 A.M. in Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, 34 Ward St., Worcester. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. A calling hour will be held in the funeral home on Monday March 17, 2014 from 9:30 to 10:30 A.M.
