Subscription Update Obituary

    Florence E. (Russell) Demas, 97, of 83 Paxton Road and formerly of Paxton and Rutland, died Friday, July 9, 2010 in Quaboag on the Common in West Brookfield after an illness.

    Her husband, Elton F. Demas, died in 1980. She leaves four daughters: Gwendolyn K. Locke of North Brookfield, Carole A. Lopez and her husband Charlie of Oakland, CA, Bonnie L. Small and her husband Robert of Mesa, AZ, Linda L. Soboleski and her husband John with whom she lived; a brother, Edson Russell of Clear Lake, CA; 29 grandchildren, many great and great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She is pre-deceased by a son, Elton R. Demas; three sisters: Freda, Karleen and Adeline and a great-grandson, John A. Soboleski, III.

    Mrs. Demas was born in Coldbrook, New Hampshire, daughter of Jack and Karleen (Bumford) Russell. She enjoyed playing bingo, going to the casino and traveling. She loved to spend time with her family, especially her many grandchildren.

    The funeral will be held Thursday, July 15 at 11:00 AM in J. HENRI MORIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 23 Maple Terr., Spencer. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours will precede the service from 9:00-11:00 AM.
