Subscription Update Obituary

    Florence B. (Brown) Parker, 87, of Brooks Pond Cross Rd., died Sunday, Feb. 20, 2011 at Quaboag on the Common, in W.Brookfield.

    She leaves her husband of 65 years, Richard E. Parker; four sons, Donald A. Parker of Lompoc, Calif., Thomas R. Parker of Falmouth, Raymond W. Parker of Tampa, Fl., and William R. Parker of No. Brookfield; her daughter, Patricia B. Robertson of Orland, ME; two sisters, Genevieve Clark of Northfield, and Sarah "Bev" McGann of Palm Bay, FL; 11 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren; nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by brothers, Arthur and Elbert Brown and sisters Gertrude Wells, and Mary Williams.

    Florence was a registered nurse for the Spencer Visiting Nurse Assoc., (formerly the Spencer Good Samaritan & District Nurse Assoc.) for 17 years, retiring in 1985. She previously was a nurse at Lincoln Hill Manor in Spencer. She was a member of the United Methodist Church of Spencer. She enjoyed gardening.

    Born in Waterbury, Ct., she was the daughter of Theron and Genevieve (Hopkins) Brown.

    Funeral services will be held on Thursday, Feb. 24 at 10 a.m. in the United Methodist Church, 161 Main St., Spencer. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours at the J.HENRI MORIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 23 Maple Terrace, Spencer are Wednesday 5 to 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the United Methodist Church Memorial Fund, 161 Main St., Spencer, 01562.
