Fay Elizabeth Nieber passed away on Sunday, November 23, 2025 at 87 years old. She was one of the kindest people on earth. She leaves her brother, Raymond Olsen, her husband Donald Nieber and their eight children: Mark Nieber and his wife, Ria; Lori Urso and her husband, James; Peter Nieber and his wife, Donna; Heather Nieber and her partner, Damon Viner; and Jennifer Nieber and her partner, Drew Corey.

She was the cherished grammy of Lynn and Jennifer Nieber; James and Jarod Nieber; Jessica Friatas and Caitlin Boehm; Jonothan Nieber; Dorothy Nieber; and Darryl, Isaac, and Emily Viner. She also leaves great grandchildren: Ava; April, Liam, Mackenzie, and Freya. Fay remained close to her nieces Karen, Kathy, Susan, June, Laurie, and nephew Henry.

Fay had three children who predeceased her: James, Stephen, and Kevin, as well as her sisters, Marjory Ensign and Barbara Priestley.

Fay lovingly fostered hundreds of children Through the Department of Social Services. She was always willing to take sibling groups because she strongly believed in supporting sibling relationships. She was very active in the Foster Parent Association setting up a robust support system for foster parents with support groups, training, and even seasonal clothing when all the stores were stocked for the next season.

She will be sorely missed by her family and friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a graveside service at 11:00 am on Saturday, January 10th, at Worcester County Memorial Park, 217 Richards Ave., Paxton. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Doug Flutie Jr. Foundation for Autism online at https://secure.qgiv.com/for/dfjffai/
