Subscription Update Obituary

   Evelyn M. (Lucier) Leduck, 85, of Worcester passed away peacefully Friday, April 10th, 2009 surrounded by family.

   Evelyn's 2nd husband, William Leduck passed away several years ago. Her first husband, Norman Gilbert passed away in 1980. She is survived by her two daughters, Sandra Dean and her husband Paul "Dino" Dean, Linda Field and her husband Raymond all of Worcester; a son, Paul Gilbert and his wife Eva of Worcester; a sister, Shirley McCarthy of Everett Michigan; a granddaughter, Kathryn Parsons of Tennessee, many other grand children, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. A son, Raymond "Butch" Gilbert predeceased her. She was born in Worcester, one of several children of the late Raymond and Clara (Bird) Lucier and has lived here all her life.

   Evelyn once worked for the Brown Shoe company. She was a member of St. Stephen's Church and was an enthusiastic Bingo Player. She was also a member for many years of the Green Island. Evelyn was a simple, gentle woman who trusted everyone, thoroughly enjoyed Bingo and being with her family and friends.

   The family would like to express an extra special thank you to those that helped care for Evelyn over the years.

   A funeral service for Evelyn will be held Tuesday, April 14th at 11:00 a.m. in the MERCADANTE  FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton. Friends and relatives are invited to visit with the family, Monday, April 13th from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the funeral home.
