Subscription Update Obituary

    Evelyn M. (Hansen) Lazerick, 80, passed away on May 17, 2009. She is survived by two sons: Anthony James Lazerick III and his wife Sandra of Danville, VT and John A. Lazerick and his wife Pamela of Auburn, MA; four daughters: Deborah J. Meservey of Worcester, MA, Barbara J. Lamson and her husband Daniel of North Brookfield, Sylvia J. Lazerick of McKinleyville, CA, Pamela J. Rogers and her husband Kenneth of Orange, MA; one brother: James Furtado and his wife Donna; five sisters: Barbara Lester, Ethel Smith, Lois Carrel, Joanne LaForce, Marcia Hooper; her sister-in-law: Lois (Lazerick) Dansereau and her husband George; ten grandchildren; many nieces and nephews, relatives and friends; and her dear friend and companion, William Provencher. She was predeceased by her husband, Anthony J. Lazerick Jr. and her sister, Jean Phelps.

    Evelyn was born in 1929 daughter to Hans and Ethel (Fouracre) Hansen and was raised by loving foster parents, Albert and Myrtle Phelps. After graduating from South High, Evelyn went on to work as a bookkeeper, and later on, a teacher's aide at Woodland St. School Reading Lab. Evelyn was very active in Main Street Ministries and the American Baptist Women's Fellowship. She attended many churches in Main South, Orange, MA and Marlboro, MA and she very much enjoyed singing in various choirs.

    Calling Hours will be on Thursday May 21st from 9:00 a.m to 11:00 a.m followed by a funeral service in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton, MA. Funeral Arrangements have been entrusted to the Graham, Putnam & Mahoney Funeral Parlors, 838 Main St., Worcester, MA.
