Subscription Update Obituary

    Evelyn Elizabeth (Sundquist) Nordstrom, 100, passed away Wednesday, June 23, 2010, at the Beaumont Nursing Home of Worcester. Her husband, Bengt J. Nordstrom, died in 1969.

    She leaves two daughters, Carol Ann Brogan of California and Lorine Patterson of Worcester; five grandchildren, Lori Mullins and her husband Joshua, Michelle McBryde and her husband Mark, William Patterson, Benjamin Patterson, and Elizabeth Patterson, six great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

    She was born in Worcester, daughter of Fritjof and Charlotte Foogde Sundquist. Three brothers and two sisters predeceased her: Carl Sundquist, Gustav Sundquist, Clarence Sundquist, Alice Peterson, and Nancy Kaspenson. She was a high school graduate and attended business college in San Francisco. She was a member of the Lutheran Church of the Resurrection in Huntington Beach, CA. Evelyn loved to travel and spent many her later years between her daughters' homes in Worcester and California.

    A graveside service will be held at a later date at Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Memorial donations may be made to UMass Memorial Hospice, P.O. Box 2795, Worcester, MA 01613-9938. Nordgren Memorial Chapel assisted the family with arrangements.
