Subscription Update Obituary

Eunice M. Donahue, 66, formerly of Smith Way, died peacefully on Tuesday, February 28, 2012, at UMass Health Care-Memorial Campus, Worcester. She was born and raised in Worcester, the daughter of Ernest C. and Agnes L. (Peterson) Donahue, and lived the last 17 under the loving care of the staff at the Lutheran Healthcare Center in Worcester.

Eunice graduated from North High School, attended Quinsigamond Community College, and worked at Central New England Consolidating Co. in Worcester for 15 years. She was a member of St. George Church in Worcester and enjoyed traveling which included several trips to Europe and Africa.

She is survived by her two sisters, Ellen D. Pomer and her husband, John of Lyndeborough, New Hampshire and Susan A. Croteau and her husband, Francis of Holden; a brother, Paul M. Donahue and his wife, Cindy of West Boylston; many nephews and nieces; great nephews and nieces; and cousins.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a calling hour from 9 to 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 3, at the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main St., Holden, followed by a funeral Mass celebrating Eunice’s life at 10:30 a.m. in St. George Church, 38 Brattle St., Worcester. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Lutheran Healthcare Center of Worcester, Activities Fund, 26 Harvard St., Worcester, MA 01609.
