Subscription Update Obituary

     Euclide “Frenchy” J. Allain, 82, of Millbury, died on Saturday, August 31st in the Millbury Healthcare Center after suffering with frontotemporal dementia.

Mr. Allain is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 60 years, Delores A. (Fontaine) Allain; 3 sons, Richard Allain and his wife Cindi of Bellingham, MA, Roland “Rocky” Allain of Sutton, MA, Roger Allain and his wife April of Clermont, FL, a daughter, Rochelle Webb and her husband William H. Webb II of Charlton; 3 brothers, Eulysse Allain of Oxford, Abraham Allain of Oxford and Eve Allain of New Brunswick, Canada; 5 sisters, Dorina Aucoin of New Brunswick, Canada, Doris Richard of Webster, MA, Adeline Poirier of Shirley, MA Ludivine Arseneault and Ronalda Gallant both of New Brunswick, Canada; 7 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren, many nephews, nieces and close family friends.

Euclide was born in Moncton, NB, Canada son of the late Edmond and Sophie (Doiron) Allain and is predeceased by two sisters, Anise Bourque and Florida Thebeau and an infant brother, Valerie.

Frenchy worked many years as a truck driver, and was a proud member of the Teamsters Local #170 in Worcester, MA. He enjoyed many things throughout his lifetime, especially playing the guitar, singing, telling stories and most of all spending time with family and friends. He loved to entertain and spent the latter of his retirement years entertaining in local area nursing homes.

Frenchy’s family would like to sincerely thank the professional and compassionate staff at Millbury Health Care Center for their kindness during Frenchy’s stay.

A memorial service celebrating Frenchy’s life will be held on Friday, September 6th in the Alfred Roy & Sons Funeral Home 12 Hammond Street from 2 to 5 PM with a prayer service at 4PM.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association. Google search the Worcester County Walk Alzheimer’s Walk 2013. On the home page search for our team “We Provide the Love”. You may donate to our team or join us in Worcester for the Walk to Prevent Alzheimer’s on Sunday, September 29th.
